Tesla has launched a new feature called Max Backup in the latest Tesla App update (version 4.47) to enhance Powerwall battery longevity and optimize backup settings. Many users set their backup reserve between 80% and 99%, which offers limited savings and suboptimal backup protection. To address this, the app now warns users about the downsides of a high backup reserve and introduces the Max Backup option, allowing customers to set their reserve to 100%—either temporarily or permanently—for maximum backup protection.
